For more information about cookies, or if you want to submit a complaint about our use of cookies, contact the regulatory authority for electronic communications.

Personal data:

User consent is required for the legal use of personal data collected by cookies for marketing purposes. For cookies which support website functionality or provide analytical data - they have a legitimate legal basis for use, enabling Micki Leksaker's to provide a well-functioning website.

There are mainly two types of cookies

  • A permanent cookie is stored on your computer for a set period of time.
  • A session cookie is only stored during your visit to the website. Session cookies are deleted when you close the web browser.

There are other website functions, such as pixel tags, beacons, and other similar technical features, that can serve the same role as cookies. We use the word "cookies" to cover both actual cookies and other similar technical features, as described below.

We use cookies for the following purposes:

Functional cookies

At Micki Leksaker we use functional cookies to operate certain website features and to optimise your use of the website. This means that when you continue to use our website, or when you return to use it later, the website will be presented to you according to the settings you previously selected.

Analytical cookies

We use analytical cookies to collect information about how users access and use the website, as well as to receive information about the performance of the pages.  We use the information to update, operate and improve our website, for marketing purposes and to compile statistics.

Marketing cookies

We use cookies to collect information about your activities on our website, which allows us to display targeted ads and marketing on Facebook and other platforms. Cookies enable us to tailor the ads as much as possible.

Third party cookies

We may allow our partners to use cookies on our website for the same purposes as described above. We may also allow companies that provide services on our behalf to use cookies for the purposes as described above. We are currently using a tool for targeted ads on Meta platforms and a different tool for targeted ads and analysis of website traffic on Google.

For more information about the different third party service providers' processing of personal data, please refer to each provider: Meta and Google.

Most web browsers allow you to change your cookie settings. You can set your browser to block cookies, or delete some or all cookies. In general, you should be able to alter your browser settings to control how website features that resemble cookies can collect data or function.  You can also use external webpages, such as http://www.youronlinechoices.eu/ to control the data that is collected about you and used in targeted marketing. For more information see the “Your rights” section in this policy.

Why we use cookies:

The purpose of our website is to provide the best possible experience for our visitors. To achieve this, we track how visitors access, explore and use the website. Provided you provide your consent, we can personalise the information we send to you, for example ads.

It is obviously possible to use our website without allowing us to store cookies. As a result, the website will no longer be personalised.

When cookies are transferred to a third party:

Google Analytics

We use the American company Google Analytics to collect data about visitors' usage of the website. We do this to ensure we fulfil the users' needs and to understand how we can improve various elements.

Google Analytics stores data on which pages you visit, how long you spend on our website, the pages you were on previously and what elements you click. We do not collect your name or address, and the data can not be used to identify you. We do not permit Google to use or share our analytic data.

Google may transfer this data to third parties if required by law or in the event a third party processes the data on behalf of Google. For more information about Google Analytics and Google's data processing please refer to Google's Privacy Policy.

You can install an extension to your browser if you want to prevent data from your website visit to be used by Google Analytics. The add-on is available for the following web browsers: Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Opera. You can find it here.

Meta Pixel

Meta Pixel can be used on our website. This means that so-called tracking pixels are embedded in our pages. When you visit our pages, the tracking pixel creates a direct link between your browser and the Meta server. This way, Meta obtains data from your web browser signalling, for example, that you have opened our website on your device. Meta is an American company.

Meta can, provided you are a Meta user, link your visit to our web pages with your Facebook account. Please note that we, as the website owner, do not know the content of the data sent or how it will be used by Meta. We can only choose which Meta users segments (age, interests) our advertising should be aimed towards. By accessing pixel in your browser, Meta can also see if an ad was successfully displayed on Facebook, or, for example, if an online sales activity was completed. This enables us to record the effectiveness of Meta ads for statistical and market research purposes.

Click here if you wish to disable tracking via Meta Pixel.

Mailchimp

We use the US based Mailchimp tool to send out newsletters. Mailchimp measures and compiles statistics related to the use of newsletters such as opening them and following links. More information can be found on mailchimp.com. You can unsubscribe to the newsletter at any time via the link at the bottom of each e-mail.

Storing of cookies:

Cookies are stored indefinitely, if you consented to this. If you do not provide your consent to our use of cookies on our website, then only one single cookie will be stored on your computer with the sole purpose of remembering your settings

Your rights:

Some people prefer not to use cookies. As a result most web browsers allow you to choose how cookies can be handled.

Cookies are restricted or erased by some web browsers. That's why we recommend that you review the settings for cookies and ads. Some web browsers give you more control as they allow you to set the rules for how cookies will be handled on different websites. This means you can set cookies to only be enabled for the websites you trust.

Most web browsers have settings to prevent cookies from being downloaded to your computer.

If you select to block cookies, this may also mean that some features on this website will not work properly, which may impact your user experience.

You normally find the settings under the options or settings menus in your web browser. To select the correct settings, one of the following links may be helpful. You can also use the help function in your web browser to receive more information.
