Micki Play World is a play- and learning material in wood, which is currently available in three different sets: City Heroes, City and Country and Traffic Adventures.

The core idea of the material is to offer children of preschool age, from 2 years, an open play world where their creativity and imagination can be given free rein. Here, the children can explore and process the feelings and experiences they get from the real life around them.

Meet Victoria Bergman!

Victoria works as an educational advisor and is the brains behind Micki Play World's pedagogical characteristics. Together with Victoria, Micki has developed a concept based on the Nordic countries' preschool curriculum to support educators and preschool teachers in their work.

Educational strengths with Micki Play World


  • The activities are usually interdisciplinary and contain elements of mathematics, language, our world, motor skills and senses, science, creation, values, technology and digitization.

  • The figurines are gender neutral so the children can decide for themselves whether the figurine is a she or a he. The figurines are available in two sizes that can symbolize adults and children. They have different skin colors and some of them also have different color fields on their bodies so that you can distinguish them.

  • The houses and the roads can be put together in different ways. By building them together, the children gain experience around construction and spatial perception.

For each activity, there are examples of words and concepts that you can use during the activity. Of course, you can adapt the choice of words to the children's own experiences, pre-understanding and maturity, but often the children are faster than we believe in creating new conceptual content and new conceptual expressions. Trial and error! Help the children put into words what is happening. The important thing, before you start using these different words and concepts, is that you as adults understand its meaning and that you then use it correctly in different contexts together with the children. If you are unsure, you can always look up the meaning yourself or together with the children.

Be open to the children's thoughts, ideas and feelings before each meeting / activity. Sometimes it may not fit with what you have planned and thought out. Then, let the children show you the way.
