Safe play starts with care

Being a parent means making many small decisions every day. When it comes to toys, it should feel simple. When you choose a toy from Micki, you should be able to lean back and let your child play freely. We’ve already done the work behind the scenes: carefully tested materials, thoughtful design, and toys that last – year after year.

Since 1944, we have been developing toys in Gemla, Småland. With the child’s needs in focus and care in every little detail. Because play should be fun, curious, and developmental – and it should always feel safe.

FAQ

  • Do your toys meet EU safety requirements?
Yes. All our toys are developed and tested in accordance with the EU Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC and the EN71 standard. Electrical products also comply with EN62115. We additionally follow relevant parts of REACH, RoHS and the POPs Regulation, and we are preparing for the upcoming Toy Safety Regulation (TSR).
  • Do you test the products yourselves or only through external labs?
Both. We use independent test laboratories and also carry out our own additional testing, including XRF analysis to check chemical content.
  • Do your toys contain harmful chemicals?
No. Our products do not contain prohibited phthalates or prohibited bisphenols, including BPA in materials where this is regulated under the Toy Safety Directive. They comply with applicable EU chemicals and toy safety legislation.
  • Where are your toys manufactured?
Some are produced in our own factory in Gemla, Småland. The rest are manufactured by certified partner factories with controlled working conditions.
  • How do you ensure quality over time?
We carry out risk assessments during product development, regularly test both new and existing products, and perform quality checks before and after delivery. This is part of our long-term quality work.
